180

I have been doing bikram yoga. Its really difficult actually. You do hard stretches in a 105 degree room and sweat like crazy. I drink a liter of water during it, and I still sweat out like 3-4 pounds usually. I have also been keeping up with jiu jitsu as well. I am at 180 as of this morning. I have a competition on Nov 15, and I am shooting for 170.

I have been eating pretty good. I have been having oatmeal for breakfast, just milk oatmeal and a dash of salt. It is bland, but I feel good after eating it. I have stopped with salad but continue with boiled eggs. I have also been eating macaroni and pasta for lunch and dinner. Not the best, but whatever.

Oatmeal might be the cheapest thing you can eat. i bought a huge tub for $3. I eat 3/4 of a cup a day, and it lasts like 3 weeks.

Boiled eggs and salad

I have been eating really well lately, salads, boiled eggs, salsa, what have you. I hadn't been losing weight. I was stuck at 189-190. Yesterday, I wrestled from about 80 minutes. There were two moments where I was really light headed and felt like I was going to puke. I think I might have been close to dehydration or Bethany thinks it could also be my lack of eating carbohydrates.

Anyways, I weighted in at 186. I was really shocked, but i think it was a lot of water weight. So i will put it back on soon enough, but not before Saturday.

Quest for 180

There is an actual jiu jitsu tournament on Sept 20. The weight classes break off at every 10 pounds, like 170,180,190, etc. I weighed in this morning at 191.2 I need to lose 12 pounds to make the 180 class. I plan on losing a pound a day. I bought some salad for lunch and most of dinner. I will be eating peanuts as well, along with 1-2 protein shakes a day. If I can get to 184 or less the day before, I plan on doing a suna if i need be.

Also I have been wearing gym shoes to work, and now a woman is wearing flip flops and another guy is also wearing gym shoes. Let the revolution BEGIN!

Thanks for the pepperoni

Thanks for all the input, I found it useful and I am trying to incorporate smaller meals more often. I am eating peanuts, dry unsalted. They are good in between meals because they are filling filling. I am also trying to eat a better breakfast. I find this difficult. I usually start the day eating nothing, have a decent lunch, and the usually eating to much for dinner.

I bought 4 pounds of whey protein from Walmart for $25. I did some price comparisons and that is a pretty good price, plus I wanted instant gratification. I also want to start doing the treadmill again. That has worked great in my past.

I am going to try and weigh 180 by the end of September.

Wake up the Monkey, and show him a dollar

Its been a couple months since I last posted. I have been beaten by Dan in the weight loss. I currently weigh 190. I have been doing Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai for a couple months and absolutely love it. I have lost a good amount of body fat on my stomach, but i believe some of that was replaced with muscle. I want to do competitions, and want to weigh as light as possible. I dont know the division weights, but i want to weigh 175, and figure i could cut from there.

To do this I must stop doing:
Eating shit for lunch and the free soda at work
Drinking 6 liters of moon mist a week
Eating at McDonalds
Eating ridiculous portions (usually i have eaten well for a couple days)
Working (I just dont like it really)

Things I must do:
Run
Jump rope for 15 minutes in the morning

I love eating, and its hard for me to turn down food. I am open to suggestions for this. My current best thing I do is brush my teeth. It makes me not hungary at all and food tastes like shit. Its shorted lived though. Bethany suggested I do a cholonic. She then suggested something you take that makes you shit for 3 hours. Sounds fun, might do that.

I know what i have to do, i just need to do that shit.

Any suggestions will be considered, and I will update my do's and don't's accordingly.

Weight Gain 5000

I weighted in at 197 this morning. I ate like a monster in Sconi (Wisconsin), and had eaten a ton last nite. I have not had a chance to make burritos for the week. The burrito kid is not so burrito like.

I have been going to my jiu jitsu classes regularly. I basically wear a bathrob for an hour and wrestle and throw people around. I love it, but I sweat. I sometimes sweat on other people. Its kinda funny. But the weightloss has not followed like i thought it would have. I think I might be putting on some muscle though. I really like the actual physicallity behind it. They have muay thai wednesday and saturdays, and I plan on doing it today, but shit happens.

How about you Dan, is you weight loss going as well as mine? Havent seen any new posts.

¡Blanco Muchacho!

It was a tough weekend. I had 40 oz Friday and a bachelor party. I drank one and a half 40's and had 3/4 of a little caesars pizza and some bread sticks. At the bachelor party I had a ton of chips, guacamole, hot dogs, and hamburgers. Not to mention drinking from 12 - 9pm.

The bachelor party was a pretty good time, but I was super tired. We went to this bar afterwards, Casey Morans, and my brother Jays friend was there and was drunk off his ass. He shoved my brother, and Jay split his beer all over this older woman. He son and father were pissed. I dont know exactly what was said between them, but there was a lot of pushing and yelling, no fistacuffs. The funny thing was that the family was going ape shit, and we were pretty cool about, and they through out the whole family. Then we were able to watch for 10 minutes the security and the family get into it.

So I get home, and at 4:30 am the mexicans next store start blasting their ranchero music. the downstairs neighbor went by and asked them to turn it down, which they did, and then would start up again. (This guy has an avalanche truck, and he opened the doors and cranked it as loud as it would go. He did it a third time, and I went out the back door and I was able to yell loud enough to get his attention, and I told him to "Turn down the volume" about three times. I then screamed "Turn off the fucking music" His wife ran out and turned it off. He called me by yelling at me "hey whiteboy" followed by "you rent here, i live here" I really wanted to debate him on my rights as a rentor vs his rights as a owner, which are the same, but decided I would go back to bed.

My progress has been slow, i was 191 this morning. I have started a brazilian jiu jitsu class, and its a tough work out. I am joining it, and hope to lose some serious weight. I think I can get to 170 by the end of the summer. I think Dan has lost 8 pounds or so. I have some catching up to do.

Me and Dan decided the last day of summer, around the middle of September, will be the last day, and we will cap it off with a hot dog eating contest. I think Ryan might be the only one interested at this point, but I would really like Brian in the competition. He bested me at the Christmas dinner, but I was not my game.
